  1. 01What are you selling?

    This decides which chapters of a conformance report apply to you at all.

  2. 02Who is asking you for it?

    Different buyers are bound by different rules, and they ask for different editions.

  3. 03Did they name a standard?

    If they named one, quote it back. If they did not, there is a defensible default.

  4. 04Have you ever produced one before?

    An old or partial report is a starting point, not a liability.

  5. 05What accessibility testing has actually been done?

    Answer for what was done, not what is planned. This is the section buyers read hardest.

  6. 06Which assistive technology and browser combinations were tested?

    A report has to name them. "A screen reader" is not a combination a reviewer accepts.

  7. 07Do you already know of places the product is not accessible?

    Known gaps are normal and belong in the report. Hiding them is what gets a report rejected.

  8. 08What is the interface built from?

    Where the components come from changes how much of the work is already done.

  9. 09Who will actually write it?

    This changes what the first draft should look like, not whether you can do it.

  10. 10When is it due?

    This only changes the order of the work, never the honesty of what you can claim.
